From Northern Ireland, I am self-taught in, and kind of addicted to, the use of Adobe Photoshop. Photomanipulation is one of my biggest hobbies and doesn't seem to ever get boring for me. I am also branching out into photography, and am currently studying Interactive Multimedia Design at Jordanstown University, which mainly involves web and graphic design. on this site... I have a stock account with the inventive name ~mindCollision-stock. I am also a moderator for #digital-artists and a contributor for #iManipulate where to find me... gracecoote.darkfolio Artician Facebook (although I generally don't accept friends for this account that I don't know.) First of all, thanks to everyone who commented on my last journal, I received a lot of really helpful advice so that was awesome ![]()
I recently joined two groups as a contributor: they are
and
, both great groups with slightly different ways of working which I like. One is a bit more easy going and is open to everyone, whereas the other asks a bit more for quality rather than quantity. My inbox has been going mad lately because of them but I'm enjoying it
Atm I am back to having no inspiration in regards to Photoshop- everytime I try to make something I just hit a brick wall. It's mainly just down to having no ideas and trying to throw something together. So I was thinking maybe of putting together some tutorials to fill in the gap, would anyone be interested in that? I will maybe put up a poll to see if there's enough interest.
Topics would be covering basic things like extracting objects, using layer masks, blending etc, but hopefully in a way that is clear and easy to follow. You can all let me know if there's anything you'd like me to cover, even perhaps a walk-through?
Right, I'm off to do some Christmas shopping XD

An artist I came across recently whose work I am loving:

i have no love for you today.......

(uu) but tomorrow's looking pretty promising.
I don't think we should be able to vote on our own works, although I did it at the very start on another group I think, but that was because I was a n00b lol.
I think maybe the best thing to do is note someone like ^Sander-Seto and let him know the grievance. Anything else is just likely to cause tension...
