To any of my watchers in Northern Ireland, a close friend of mine is heading to South Africa in November to work with the Niall Mellon Township Trust, which aims to build 100,000 homes by the end of this year.

In order to fund raise for this, Karen has organised a Black and White Ball which will be happening in mid-October. I'd love it if some of you guys could come along, we need as many people as possible! Find out all the information and buy tickets here or view the Facebook event page.

Man, I really need to start putting some sort of a proper watermark on ALL of my work. I did a quick search on Google for "mindcollision" and it brought up a lot of my stuff. Most of it has actually been featured in blogs and Photoshop websites, which is awesome of course! But it makes you realize how easy it would be for someone to take your work and pass it off as their own. Granted I don't make any profit from this stuff I make, but I have a sense of pride about it, I made it, it's my hard work, it's my skills, you know? As it stands nothing seems to have been stolen so I guess I'm lucky, but it's an eye opener!

So hey

Recently I've got on board with a new project run by #dArtzine. For those of you who don't know, #dArtzine is an independent webzine that focuses on promoting artists from DeviantArt in general. All categories of art presented in the community are taken in count to be promoted. We base the selection of the art included in the issues on the quality, concept, ORIGINALITY, and uniqueness as well as style and technique that the artists have. Nevertheless the webzine has a section special for beginners, where these ones will be encouraged to progress in their technique and helped by monitoring this progress.

The group has now started a new sideproject, the DartEXPO, which is a mainly visual feature of an individual artist, and myself and `d3rzi will be taking suggestions for this. If you would like to be considered for this webzine, or you would like to suggest another artist, please send either of us a note entitled DartEXPO suggestion.

I've decided to make my feature journal a regular, or at least as regular a thing as my laziness/bad memory will allow me. On a weekly basis I'll try to feature as many new artworks as possible, so keep your eyes open for that.

_{Apparently quite a few of you don't know I have a stock account! Well, I do And it's pretty easy to find, just stick a "-stock" at the end of my name... ~mindCollision-stock, go have a look, it's all free for any use including commerical. I'd really love more people to use it (particularly if you make something that doesn't have a horse in it, that'd be great.) There's a preview of some of my stock on my main page, just scroll down and look on the left. More will be uploaded soon!

In other news, I recently got my tongue pierced. It hurts a bit But I actually ate a full meal today, w00t, all is well in the world.

Soooooo I hit 25,000 pageviews today . I know pageviews aren't the "be all and end all", but I think it's pretty sweet that I've reached that landmark

Hey guys, I just noticed that I am nearing ever closer to a sort of landmark in my page views! Took me three years, but I am now preetttyy darn close to 25,000 page views, which is pretty cool right? Anyway I know it's currently about 400 views away, but whoever grabs the 25,000 views screenshot for me I will give a 1 month subscription to, just for funsies

All you have to do is note me when you have the screenshot, I will give you my email address, you send the pixture and I give you your subscription. Simples!

Just a short journal to let anyone who's interested know that my reason for inactivity of late is because I've been spending most of my time online helping out in #digital-artists. Not that I'm complaining, just an explanation for my distinct lack of art. I'm hoping to come up with some new shiz pretty soon. Thinking about a new style, and hoping to branch out into different genres of art, so here's hoping some of that actually happens

Groups, Tutorials and Thanks

First of all, thanks to everyone who commented on my last journal, I received a lot of really helpful advice so that was awesome

I recently joined two groups as a contributor: they are and , both great groups with slightly different ways of working which I like. One is a bit more easy going and is open to everyone, whereas the other asks a bit more for quality rather than quantity. My inbox has been going mad lately because of them but I'm enjoying it

Atm I am back to having no inspiration in regards to Photoshop- everytime I try to make something I just hit a brick wall. It's mainly just down to having no ideas and trying to throw something together. So I was thinking maybe of putting together some tutorials to fill in the gap, would anyone be interested in that? I will maybe put up a poll to see if there's enough interest.

Topics would be covering basic things like extracting objects, using layer masks, blending etc, but hopefully in a way that is clear and easy to follow. You can all let me know if there's anything you'd like me to cover, even perhaps a walk-through?

Right, I'm off to do some Christmas shopping XD

_{To be honest, I'm kind of glad in a way that a lot of you guys aren't really active when it comes to my page, because I've gotten really sick of seeing "popular" "artists" here upload crap and it have zillions of faves within the hour. It's nice to know that the faves I have on my work I actually deserve, and I don't just get it because my watchers fave every single thing I upload, regardless of quality.

New stock and Aegis-Strife (Please Read!)

Recently I have been following the journals submitted by the brilliant artist `Aegis-Strife here on dA. He has been struggling recently with one problem after another, and he still manages to try and have a sense of humour about it all. You only have to read his journal entries to see what he's had to go through, from being ripped off by a fake landlord to having to sleep under a bridge.

This guy really needs some help and support, especially with money. He is such a talented artist and has pretty much no time or resources in order to make some of that art. I feel like I should do something to help, and as I have something like 237 watchers at the minute, I thought I would petition you guys to help him out too, either with a journal entry like this or by buying his prints or services as an artist. Even a supportive comment in his direction.

I have included just a small selection of some of his beautiful prints below. You can view them all here, and contact him for commissions or information about his illustrations at aegis.strife@gmail.com.
